The theater is equipped with 4-D capabilities, which combine the high-definition drama of a 3-D film with special sensory effects like mist and wind. Members may purchase 4-D tickets at the Members' Entrance.

What Is 4-D Immersion Theater?

Sights, Sounds, and Smells!

The Aquarium’s 4-D Immersion Theater combines the visual drama of a 3-D film with a variety of sensory effects, which are built into theater seats and the theater environment.

Most films are transformed into 15-minute experiences and will virtually bring on-screen images to life with added effects, such as water mist, wind, a neck air blast, snow, bubbles, steam, leg ticklers, scents, enhanced floor lighting, and seat vibrations!

Please note: The 4-D Immersion Theater contains theatrical lighting, including strobe lights. Please use discretion if your child is easily startled, or if you have medical conditions related to your back. An assistive listening system is available in the 4-D Immersion Theater. Please ask a theater attendant for a headset prior to seating.
