Creative Services - Editorial Internship

Job Description:

The selected Creative Services – Editorial intern(s) assist the Marketing Department with content development and execution of Aquarium materials and other activities as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Write concise, compelling copy that adheres to National Aquarium standards for both print and web
  • Research topics in support of Creative Services content development
  • Edit materials for grammar, accuracy and consistency as well as adherence to brand standards and guidelines
  • Collaborate with Creative Services team on concept development and arrive at creative solutions to achieve marketing objectives
  • Ensure consistent theme and tone in all messages
  • Assist with administrative tasks, mailings, etc.
  • Join the Creative Services team for meetings and special events
  • Complete special projects as assigned


  • Must be able to operate within Microsoft Office systems.
  • Must be self-motivated and have sharp attention to detail, ability to work independently or as part of a team, flexible personality, sense of humor, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Must complete a minimum of 120 hours of work within the selected term.
  • Preference is given to juniors and seniors.
  • Open to undergraduate students pursuing a degree in English, journalism, communications or a related field from an accredited college or university.
