“The Polar Express” Returns to the National Aquarium for the Holiday Season

11/1/2015

One of Baltimore’s holiday traditions returns as “The Polar Express 4D Experience” rolls into the National Aquarium’s 4D Immersion Theater for the holiday season. “The Polar Express 4D Experience” is a 20-minute show based on the Caldecott Medal children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg.

Aquarium guests will join a doubting young boy as he takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole on Christmas Eve. He embarks on an epic journey of self-discovery that shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe.

The Aquarium’s 4D Immersion Theater brings “The Polar Express” to life, allowing visitors to get close to the sights, smells, and sounds of the action. The theater is equipped with 4D capabilities, combining the drama of a 3D film with special sensory effects that will put you on the edge of your seat.
