Sally Lightfoot crabs, Grapsus grapsus, have been added to the Aquarium’s Surviving Through Adaptation exhibit!

Found throughout the Pacific Coast of the Americas, Sally Lightfoot crabs are quick on their feet. And with a carapace (or shell) measuring just 1.2 inches wide, they have no trouble tucking into reef crevices to safely hide from would-be predators.
