Special needs guests can avoid the crowd by visiting on the first Saturday or first Sunday of the month. Our First Saturdays and First Sundays program allows visitors with special needs and their guests to enter 30 minutes before the Aquarium opens to the general public.

At the National Aquarium, we recognize the importance of this event and believe ocean health starts at home. Meet a hit Nickelodeon TV star, Diego! Bring your camera and take a photo with Diego inside the Aquarium. Help celebrate the launch of Dora & Diego’s 4-D Adventure: Catch That Robot Butterfly, playing in the Aquarium’s 4-D Immersion Theater. Plan your visit and be sure to arrive early for the special appearance by Diego. Last photo will be taken at 2 p.m. To guarantee your entry time, purchase tickets in advance.
