Hotels, businesses, and organizations are invited to consign or prepurchase tickets in bulk at a discount to re-sell to their guests, employees, and members.
Two methods for re-selling tickets are available.
Consignment Buying
The Aquarium provides an initial quantity of tickets to clients on a good faith basis. Clients pay the Aquarium on a monthly basis for tickets sold. Consignment buying offers several benefits:
- The discount is approximately 10% to 15% off the general admission rate.
- Tickets have a one-year expiration date but can be returned prior to the expiration date without penalty.
- Promotional materials (brochures, signs, posters, etc.) are provided at no charge.
- A quarterly e-newsletter keeps clients informed of what's new at the Aquarium.
Prepurchased Buying
Through this method, the client pays for tickets when placing the order. There is no need to reconcile the account on a monthly basis. Prepurchased buying requires 25 tickets per order and 50 tickets per year. Payment can be in the form of company check, cashiers check, or credit card.
There are several advantages to prepurchasing tickets.
- The discount is approximately 15% to 20% off the general admission rate.
- Tickets have a one-year expiration date and cannot be returned for a refund at any time.
- Promotional materials (brochures, signs, posters, etc.) are provided at no charge.
- A quarterly e-newsletter keeps clients informed of what's new at the Aquarium.
General Guidelines
Whether buying through consignment or prepurchase, clients may re-sell tickets at any price, provided they do not exceed the Aquarium's general admission price.
When used, tickets provide express, but not immediate, entry, so visitors bypass any general ticket line at the time of arrival.
