Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Waterfront Park
Explore the coastal, Piedmont, and Allegheny mountain regions of Maryland on the new Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Waterfront Park outside the Glass Pavilion. View four habitats created using native Maryland plants, a mountain stream, and a wetland. Stand on a granite outline of the Chesapeake Bay watershed to discover where students live in relation to the Bay.
Using the new School Group Entrance into the Glass Pavilion, visitors immediately encounter the Allegheny Cascades, a gift to the Aquarium from the Joseph and Harvey Meyerhoff Family Charitable Funds. This 35-foot-tall waterfall represents Maryland's western-most region. The base of the waterfall is home to many native species including brook trout, wood turtles, silverjaw minnows, channel catfish, and crayfish.
