With 16,000 animals living in the National Aquarium, a lot goes into keeping them healthy and happy. Each year we purchase more than 50 tons of quality food for our animals. The costs of food, medicine and medical equipment, and a knowledgeable staff to care for all these animals add up quickly.

In addition, we provide each animal with environmental conditions that replicate its natural habitat, which involves factors such as water quality, lighting, and temperature control for more than 100 exhibits. Your gift to the National Aquarium helps us continue to bring a smile to the faces of all who encounter our animals.
