Baltimore, Md. (August 15, 2003)—In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, visitors are invited to celebrate the rich and diverse aspects of Latino cultures at the National Aquarium in Baltimore on Friday, September 26, 2003 as it observes Hispanic Heritage Night.
Admission is just $5 after 5 p.m. and the event is held from 5-10 p.m. The last ticket is sold at 8 p.m.
Guest can explore the enchanting exhibits of the Aquarium as well as experience:
- Dance music by Grupo Latino Continental and traditional favorites by members of Mariachi Las Estrellas
- A bilingual tour of Seahorses: Beyond Imagination with senior aquarist Jorge Gomezjurado
- Games of aquatic lotería (a.k.a bingo), personal encounters with amazing creatures, and face-painting for the kids
- Special guest speaker Herlinda Nuñez Halle from the National Aquarium in Baltimore
- A special buffet of Latino foods
- Salsa lessons and workshops with SalsaWild
- Amazing animals to meet from the Upland Tropical Rain Forest with expert Jack Cover
