May 16, 2005 - Aquarium Seeks Volunteers to Join the Team That Will Bring Australia To Life

The National Aquarium in Baltimore is in need of volunteers to be exhibit guides and information specialists. Volunteers are especially needed on the weekends. Anyone who loves talking to people from all over the world, has a curiosity about marine life and enjoys helping others appreciate and preserve planet Earth is an ideal candidate. 

Volunteers receive free parking, continuing education, Aquarium membership intangibles galore and the chance to get a sneak peek of the Aquarium’s new exhibit. Volunteers must be age 18 or older. Anyone wishing to be part of the team that will help open the new exhibit, Animal Planet Australia: Wild Extremes must respond by June 9th. The National Aquarium in Baltimore, a non-profit organization, is Maryland’s most exciting and popular cultural attraction, as well as one of the region’s leading conservation and education resources, hosting more than 1.6 million visitors per year.
