Baltimore, Md. (Feb. 6, 2003)--Kids can meet their favorite television shark character on Saturday, March 1 at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, and they can take half off child’s admission that day with a special coupon made possible by the Comcast.
Sharky the Shark, the long-time, friendly mascot for Discovery Channel’s “Shark Week,” will be the only fish out of water at the Aquarium, and visitors can take pictures with Sharky in his tropical jams from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
The half price children’s discount is valid with a paying adult admission. Visitors must present the Sharky the Shark coupon that’s available at www.aqua.org.
In addition, visitors can talk with underwater divers via special new communications equipment during shark and stingray feedings at the Wings in the Water exhibit. This new experience will be a new feature of Shark Quest, an engaging new exploration of sharks launching March 15 at the Aquarium. Show times are 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
This reduced admission price is made possible by Comcast, an Aquarium sponsor.
The National Aquarium in Baltimore, a non-profit organization and world-class aquatic institute, is Maryland’s leading attraction, hosting more than 1.5 million visitors per year. Dedicated to education and conservation, it serves the environment, students, visitors and communities through a wide variety of programs.
