Loggerhead Sea Turtle, "Bower"

On Nov. 15, 2002, the Aquarium’s Marine Animal Rescue Program (MARP) released its final patient of what had been an extremely busy summer season.

This loggerhead sea turtle had been rescued more than five months earlier near a dock on Bower’s Beach in Delaware. The fully recovered animal slipped beneath ocean waters off the coast of South Carolina and began a migration complete with a disappearing act and exciting rediscovery.
