Host an unforgettable undersea birthday party at the National Aquarium, Washington, DC!

Our Birthday Party Room is available for rentals from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Limited weekday rentals are available, please contact us at 202-482-2826 for more information.

Cost

The cost of a private room rental for a birthday party is $350. This fee covers admission for a maximum of 25 total people (adults and children combined) to attend the party, a scavenger hunt, plus a special birthday packet with stickers and glow-in-the-dark bracelets. You and your guests are also welcome to wander the gallery after your room rental has expired. We encourage you to decorate the room, but please note the special restrictions for decorations stipulated on the Birthday Party Rental Application below.

The National Aquarium is pleased to announce that a Party Assistant can be available during your party for an additional $150 fee. The Party Assistant will provide assistance during the party and also give a brief 10-15 minute gallery highlight tour to the party-goers. This offer is subject to availability.

Booking Your Party

Please call 202-482-2826 to check availability. To speed up the process, fill out the Birthday Party Rental Application before calling. Once you have confirmed your availability, please fax the application to 202-482-4946 or e-mail it to dcbirthdays@aqua.org. Be sure to include a phone number where you can be reached so we can contact you for payment information and secure your reservation.

Please send a final guest list to us by noon of the Thursday prior to your scheduled party. This will allow your guests to access the Aquarium and join your party without delay.

Gift Bags

Consider ordering gift bags in advance for $6 per bag. Gift bags are to be paid for separately, upon arrival, and must be ordered at least one week in advance. Cash or check only, please.
