9/9/2013

As part of its continuing effort to ensure that visitors have affordable access to one of the country’s top aquariums, National Aquarium, Baltimore has announced the return of their Fridays After Five and Maryland Mornings programs.

With Fridays After Five, guests can enjoy admission to National Aquarium for just $12 on Fridays after 5 p.m. from Sept. 6, 2013 through March 28, 2014.

Maryland Mornings, which debuted last year in partnership with Governor Martin O’Malley, provides Maryland residents with a discount this year of $10 off adult general admission tickets and $5 off child general admission tickets Sunday through Friday, before noon beginning Sept. 8, 2013. Tickets can be purchased on-site at the National Aquarium, Baltimore ticket office only. The program runs through February 28, 2014.

“National Aquarium’s mission is to inspire conservation of the world’s aquatic treasures and through these and other programs, the Aquarium provides the community with discounted opportunities to explore and learn about the aquatic world,” said National Aquarium CEO John Racanelli. “Specifically, Maryland Mornings is one of the ways for us to show our appreciation to our fellow community members and I hope that every family will take advantage of this program.”

This fall the Aquarium will also welcome the return of the Cultural Series presented by Macy’s featuring programming that explores and celebrates international traditions in art, music, literature, dance and cuisine. Starting in October, the first Fridays After Five of every month will feature special activities and performances honoring:
  • October 4 : Latino Heritage
  • November 1 : Native Cultures
  • December 6 : World Holiday Traditions
  • January 3 : Asian-Pacific Heritage
