Interns assist the Animal Programs staff with the daily care and behavior management of the Aquarium's education animals. Some knowledge of animal training and environmental enrichment is recommended. Juniors or seniors preferred.

Animal Programs
Interns assist the Animal Programs staff with the daily care and behavior management of the Aquarium's education animals. Some knowledge of animal training and environmental enrichment is recommended. Juniors or seniors preferred.
Aquarist
Interns assist in the care of invertebrates and fish. Juniors or seniors are preferred.
Community Affairs
Interns serve as ambassadors in efforts to strengthen and maintain the Aquarium's relationship with the community. Juniors or seniors are preferred.
Conservation
Interns will assist the Aquarium staff with field-based Chesapeake Bay restoration and monitoring activities. Juniors or seniors preferred. Winter, spring and fall applicants only.
Conservation Education
Interns assist in the creation, revision, and instruction of education programs for a variety of audiences including school groups, general visitors, the public, after school programs, and other audiences.
Development
Interns assist the Aquarium's development and membership staff in donor research, grant writing, fulfillment and promotion of Aquarium memberships, etc.
External Affairs
Interns assist with creating and strengthening the Aquarium's relationship with special audiences including government officials, donors, VIPs, etc.
Herpetology
Interns assist in caring for reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates in the Rain Forest, Australia, or FROGS exhibits.
Horticulture
Interns assist in the care of plants of the Aquarium's exhibits.
Information Technology
Interns will assist the Aquarium's information technology staff with daily activities. Juniors or seniors preferred.
Marketing
Interns will assist the Aquarium's marketing staff with daily activities focusing on sales and service and/or advertising and promotions.
Marine Animal Rescue Program
Interns assist in the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of stranded marine animals and sea turtles, as well as in in outreach efforts of the Aquarium's Ocean Health Initiative. Winter, spring, and fall applicants only. Juniors or seniors are preferred.
Marine Mammal Training
Interns assist in the daily care of the marine mammals. Juniors or seniors preferred.
Media Relations
Interns gain experience in writing, media relations, and special events. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors are preferred.
Publications
Interns assist the Communications staff with the written and/or design content of Aquarium publications.
Visual Productions
Interns provide assistance to the Aquarium's Visual Productions activities.
