Applying for internships is not complicated, but applicants should follow the procedure accurately and completely.
Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. (If applying for positions at the National Aquarium in Washington, DC, please follow directions listed on the complete position descriptions.)
| 1 | Completely fill out the application and have your academic advisor sign it as proof of receipt of credit. Applicants must receive college credit to participate in this program. |
| 2 | Attach brief responses to the three statements listed on the bottom of the application. |
| 3 | Enclose a resume with two references listed. Also enclose a transcript or have the school's registrar send one to the address below. It does not have to be an official copy. |
| 4 | Applicants may apply for a maximum of two internships per application deadline. Please enclose a copy of the entire application for each position. |
| 5 | Make sure the position you apply for does not have additional requirements as listed in the complete position description. Example: Publications and Media Relations positions require a writing sample with your application. |
| 6 | Make sure your application is not late. Application deadlines are November 1 for the January and spring terms, March 1 for the summer term, and May 1 for the fall term. |
