Home School Days


    Designed for homeschool groups (ages 5 and up), each half-day session over three days (September 17 – 19, 2007) features a different environmental theme using interactive theater, a classroom activity, and a discovery lab. This is an opportunity for parents and students to learn together!

    September 17
    Forests Discover the difference between the Amazon tropical rain forest and a forest found in the river gorges in the Northern Territory of Australia. Make key observations and learn why these habitats are so unique.
    Tuesday
    September 18
    Frogs Learn about amphibians and see why makes these animals so amazing. In the Aquarium's newest exhibit, Frogs! A Chorus of Colors, find out what makes frogs the most successful amphibian on the planet.
    Wednesday
    September 19
    Chesapeake Bay Watershed Investigate the health of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed through a theatre presentation and engage in hands-on labs.

    Program Fees

    Maryland Homeschool Groups (Grades Pre-K – 12)

    • $30 per student/day
    • $75 per student/3 days

    Out-of-state Homeschool Groups (Grades Pre-K – 6)

    • $40.95 per student/day
    • $107.85 per student/3 days

    Out-of-state Homeschool Groups (Grades 7 – 12)

    • $42.95 per student/day
    • $113.85 per student/3 days

    Program fee includes Aquarium admission. The dolphin show is only included if it is available at time of reservation.

    Chaperone Fees
    Each reservation includes free admission for one adult chaperone. Reservations of five or more students receive free admission for one adult chaperone with every five students. Additional chaperones cost $21.95 per person.

    Order lunch in advance of your visit and have it waiting for you in the Frog Cafe. For more information about Box Lunches, click here.

    Visit Our Food Court
    Buy lunch in the Food Court on the day of your visit.

    Eat Out
    Eat on the pier or at one of the nearby Inner Harbor food vendors. Chaperones can have their hands stamped for easy re-entry into the Aquarium.

    For the health and safety of our animals, no food, beverages or gum is allowed inside the Aquarium. Unfortunately, food and beverages obtained from outside of the Aquarium is not allowed inside Aquarium buildings.

    Reservations
    Advanced reservations are required for homeschool days and/or monthly homeschool programs. Age and grade level must be provided when making the reservation. Reservations can be made through our Central Reservations office Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time by:
