Track Hastings' Progress

Released on May 13, 2010

Update: July 8, 2010: We have not received a successful transmission from Hastings' satellite tag in the past week. Factors such as weather, location, battery life of the tag, the seal's molt pattern (much like a dog sheds its fur), and erosion of the adhesive used to attach the tag can lead to a lack of transmission. We will continue to monitor the tag for any signals in the future. We wish Hastings the best of luck on his journey.

Release Point: Ocean City, Maryland
Released on: May 13, 2010 | Last Update: July 1, 2010
Distance Traveled Since Release: More than 1,175 miles
