Wheelchairs in the Building
The Aquarium is fully accessible to visitors using wheelchairs, including all entrances, exhibits, restrooms, and elevators.
The Aquarium has manual wheelchairs that may be borrowed, free of charge, for use within the building. The wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. To borrow a wheelchair, simply request one at the ticket desk.
Personal Care
All restrooms have wheelchair-accessible stalls. A family restroom is located by the public entrance to the National Aquarium, near the security check.
Emergency Assistance
A first aid room and trained first responders are available to provide assistance. Aquarium security and staff are trained to assist you in the event of a fire evacuation or other emergency.
Parking
The closest parking garage with accessible parking spaces is in the Ronald Reagan Building, located directly across the street from the Aquarium at 14th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW.
Service Animals
Service animals are allowed in all public areas of the Aquarium.
