Yes! Membership cards are requested to speed entry, but a valid photo ID can also be presented at the member desk if you've forgotten your card.
If your card(s) have been lost, replacements may be printed at the member desk, or you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Yes! Within 30 days of your purchase you can apply a portion of the cost of general admission tickets to a new membership for the ticket holders.

Yes. The National Aquarium, Inc. is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization (EIN 52-1121163). Your membership donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. For qualifying memberships you will receive an acknowledgement stating the value of any tangible benefits, including printed admission tickets, if they were received.
Member Evenings are special events where members and their guests can enjoy a relaxing crowd-free visit to the National Aquarium. These events are free to members; member guest tickets are $25 each. Learn more here.
Yes! When none of the adults named on the membership can attend, one sitter may accompany children covered by the membership free of charge. The sitter must possess your membership card, their photo ID, and a signed note from an adult member identifying the sitter and children attending.
*The sitter policy applies to Dual, Family, Ocean Ambassador and Patron-level memberships.
Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. Membership cards are not transferable to anyone not covered by your membership, with the exception of our babysitter policy.
