With Subaru and the National Aquarium’s shared vision of a sustainable future, a partnership seems only natural.

During the 2018-19 school year, ten Maryland Subaru retailers are partnering with the National Aquarium to offer the Terrapins in the Classroom program to schools in their communities. The partnership pairs Subaru retailers across the state with schools in Baltimore City and Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Charles, Harford, Howard and Montgomery Counties. In addition, Subaru supports the Aquarium’s mission by providing Aquarium-branded Subaru vehicles for use in conservation and community initiatives.

The Aquarium is also proud to host Subaru events, where guests learn about new Subaru vehicles and the company’s environmental efforts. Recent events have included a launch event in September 2018 to showcase the new 2019 Ascent, and the More 2 Love event in February 2017 to introduce the 2018 Impreza.

Subaru’s dedication to protecting and preserving our planet’s meaningful places and resources has been evident since 2004, when it became the first U.S. automaker to receive zero-landfill status. Subaru has achieved this through numerous sustainable practices, such as creating fuel-efficient vehicles in clean, zero-emission facilities and reusing recycled materials. The National Aquarium looks forward to continuing to partner with Subaru to create a greener tomorrow.
