FAQs and Other Info

Age Requirements

Most programs have age requirements. All tours that visit behind-the-scenes areas, including the Animal Care and Rescue Center tour, require that guests are at least 8 years old. Guests between the ages of 16 and 18 must bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian; guests under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If a guest does not meet the specified age requirement, they will not be allowed to participate in the program and no refund will be offered.

Admission to the Aquarium

Your tour—with the exception of our sleepovers— does not include admission to the National Aquarium.

Footwear Requirements

For all behind-the-scenes programs, including the Animal Care and Rescue Center tour, please wear non-slip shoes. No flip flops, high heels or Crocs will be permitted.

Animal Safety and Welfare

Because the health of the animals is always our top priority, any program may be modified without previous notice should the need arise.

Sleepover Programs

If you have purchased a sleepover program, additional information will be emailed to you closer to your program date.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. If the Aquarium cancels your program, you will be notified by phone and will have the option of rescheduling for another date or receiving a full refund. You may also check the status of your tour by calling 410-576-8822 within two hours of your program start time.
