Happy Birthday, Beau!

It’s a special day for our Aquarium family! Beau, one of our male bottlenose dolphins, is turning 9-years-old today!

Here’s a little bit about our boy, Beau:
  • Beau is the son of Nani, who is our oldest dolphin at the aquarium at 42 years of age. 
  • "Beau" means handsome, and that he is!
  • Beau has some easy identifiable features: he is a darker grey in color and has a dark shading around his chin and jaw line (which makes it appear as if he has a 5 o'clock shadow)!

Each of our animals has their own distinct individual characteristics that not only help us identify them physically, but also by personality! Beau likes to learn and to play and is often inventing new vocalizations as he interacts with our other male bottlenose dolphins, Foster.
