Volunteer Connection

Volunteer in the Living Coral Exhibit Volunteer Training Volunteer with Guests

The Volunteer Services Department welcomes you to this new resource for online volunteer training courses. As part of the Blended Learning concept, these courses are designed to give you the basics of aquarium-related animal and exhibit education. With live presentations, gallery tours, and mentorship, they blend together to prepare new volunteers for quality service to our visitors, collection of animals, and the greater community. They're also designed to refresh or add to the knowledge base of our current team of trained volunteers.

In the future, the Volunteer Connection will expand to offer other continuing education that includes animal identification and new exhibit information. It will serve as a clearinghouse for volunteer documents and a resource center for volunteer on-the-job needs. In short, it will connect volunteers to what is needed to promote and practice the National Aquarium mission to inspire conservation of the world's aquatic treasures.
